Hi and welcome to our website.
We'd like to invite you, your family or a group to come out and try some of our
activities at Horse'n'around Farm, near Montrose, Iowa. If you are:
Vacationing in the Midwest. Maybe you are going to see the childhood home
of Mark Twain in Hannibal, Missouri or the Mormon temple in Nauvoo, Illinois?
We are centrally located between the two, just off Highway 27.
Are you living in the tri-state area of Missouri, Illinois and Iowa: We are
only about an hour from Burlington, Hannibal, and Macomb. Even less from
Quincy.
Some of our activities include:
Our wagon trail. This trail is very unique, hard to describe, and nothing like
anything you have ever done before. Anyone who has been on it, returns if
they have the opportunity. Got an hour or so? Try it out.
Horse back riding. We offer riding in our riding pen. We are always in the
pen when someone rides, so you'll feel safe and you'll know your kids are safe.
It is fun because you ride by yourself. Ride as little as 20 minutes or longer
than that, you choose. Sorry, but we do not rent horses or mules for trail riding.
Western-themed games and parties. We have several other activities here
with a western theme. You have seen a dog fetch a bone, but a horse? Like
to play pin the tail on the donkey? Our version is a lot more fun. Just go to our
